André Penteado is a Brazilian artist and educator
Episode 476: André Penteado joins me for our second sitting to get through the foundation of exploring his exceptional work. I met André in São Paulo this year and have been incredibly taken with his work, which spans the very personal to the very political.

In this episode, we tackle the second half of André’s work. Although we did not cover every body of work, we made progress on several fascinating projects that focus on Brazil and its complicated history, including its institutions, both religious and educational. We also discussed the colonial roots of these institutions and how this legacy continues to influence politics and discussions to the present day. As always, André was eloquent and informative in his discussion of his work. We will come back to a third round down the road to catch bodies of work that we missed this time and whatever new things come up. Listen in!
