Igor Morales is a Brazilian photographer

Episode 478: Igor Morales and I had a moment to sit down and speak about his recent book Em Um Tritão Me Transformarei Eventualmente, published by Madá Editora.

I originally met Igor during my stay in São Paulo this past May. I felt lucky to spend time with him, going over his work and genuinely having great conversations with him and the extended crew. During our meeting and this conversation, we discussed his book, his general outlook on photography, the ideas of narrative, and his time at the ICP in New York with his colleague and previous NT Podcast artist Inuuteq Storch.

We also spoke about fatherhood, family, and how that alters artistic process. The conversation was earnest, and I believe Igor has a considerable career ahead of him in photography. His work is personal, lucid, and his interest in the photobook is sincere and profound. Please listen to our discussion.
