Klaus Pichler is an Austrian artist
Episode 300: There is no better way to bring in the 300th episode than with Klaus Pichler, my friend, and an artist whose work I adore.
I met Klaus about a decade ago in Vienna at a portfolio review of all places-I am not overly prone to that format of meeting my colleagues. Still, nonetheless, we met, and I think within three minutes began speaking about our shared interest in music, mainly metal and hardcore, which surfaced in this conversation.
The Petunia Carnage
I have watched Klaus’s work unfold and evolve over the last decade, and I count his previous three books as very important to the medium of photography. I have watched as his ambitious projects are realized, and it is with great honor that I call an artist whose work I love a friend. We are roughly the same age, and I can say wholeheartedly that I am super excited to see another decade or three unfold through his work. Please tune into this long and familiar conversation. Do not sleep on picking up Klaus’s excellent books!
