Brittainy Lauback is an American photographer

Episode 423: Brittainy Lauback and I sat down to discuss her raucous book Infinite Bonheur, published by Fall Line Press.

I picked up Brittainy’s book last year at Polycopies at the Fall Line table at the suggestion of Clay Maxwell Jordan, another publishing house stalwart of Fall Line Press. I was intrigued by the world inside Brittainy’s book and could see a sense of absurdity playing out through its pages that was intriguing, often funny, often irreverent, and at times imbued with a sense of colorful melancholy.

We finally got a chance to catch up and talk about the book this summer. As were of the same age, it was refreshing to talk about growing up American, but also some of the muted tropes in the book dealing with death and the erosion or mutation of America as we knew it. I had a great time, laughing out loud several times. Please tune in to hear Brittainy’s take on this mad world.
