Andrew Colin Seitz is an American photobook publisher
Episode 479: Andrew Colin Seitz and I sat down to discuss his enterprising photobook publishing house, Photobook Daydream Editions.

From Fumitsugu Takedo’s Ambience Decay
The reason I gravitated toward having this discussion with Andrew is multifold. First and foremost, I love what Andrew does. I was lucky enough to catch a publication from his venture, which was a breath of fresh air. The book was Fumitsugu Takedo’s Ambience Decay, from 2024. The book is a strangely baroque affair with very uncomfortable feelings of anxiety pervading. Technology peers through the veil, questioning our everyday lives with its presence.

Further to that, Andrew is simply an excellent speaker, a great dude, and an incredibly knowledgeable native Wisconsinite like myself. We spoke in depth about our backgrounds there. His interest in contemporary Japanese photography is also profound, and I wanted to tap into his knowledge to find out why it makes him tick. Of all the people I hope my listeners can support, it is Andrew. His keen eye, earnest desire to put out material he likes, and general way of thinking about publishing are exemplary. Please check out his titles and support where you can. The books disappear fast, so don’t sleep on it.
