Adam Tichener is a British artist
Episode 424: Adam Titchener is a British artist whose new book has been published by Nearest Truth Editions. It is a book that Adam and I worked on for over one year during the Nearest Truth Year-Long Photobook Program. In full declaration, I worked closely with Adam and published his book. That does not change my feelings about his greatness or the book itself as being fantastic.
During the conversation we spoke about Adam’s background and his day job as a fashion photographer, but more importantly, we spent time discussing fatherhood, living in London and what fbrough him to tie those ends into the smooth weave of what became From The Great River, a book that examines small towns in America named London. It is a project that started out about geography, but ended in a deep reflective study of what it means to be from somewhere and what it means to become a father to a son. I know this feeling well and have been amazed to watch Adam grow into his role as a father, but also as an artist, pruning FTGR into something more universal, and less oblique.
Please tune into this episode. We have just launched Adam’s book and you can find it on our site. It is a rewarding journey through America, London, and the psychology of a new father.
