Lola Paprocka is a Polish artist and publisher living and working in Britain

Episode 201: Lola Paprocka is a Polish artist and publisher living and working in London. She is one half of Lola & Pani, and the main brain and brawn behind Palm* Studios a publishing house on the rise.

I got a chance to speak with Lola regarding her background in photography and how her career both with Palm* Studios and Lola & Pani came into being. We spoke about her history in London and how she came to work in photography from working in tattoo shops and how the immigrant work ethic informs many of us who move from country to country.

In the episode, we speak about Lola’s brilliant work, but also the work of people she has been publishing from Nearest Truth episode 101 artist Molly Matalon to the book How to Look Natural in Photos by Łukasz Rusznica and Beata Bartecka. It was a fun and fascinating conversation. We managed to chew through quite a bit of the commercial, art, and publishing world at present and I very much look forward to building on this episode in the future.
