Tino Zimmermann is a German artist
Episode 432: This episode features Tino Zimmermann, an artist who has produced an astounding 528-page book, Developments.
Mental health is such an important topic. If you know anyone who struggles with mental health (as I do), please listen to this conversation with young German artist Tino Zimmerman. We will discuss how the difficulties associated with contemporary life fuel the creative process and how this affects us as people and artists.
Given its size and subject matter, Tino’s book is the most immersive book of 2024. In some ways, reading it, one feels locked in Tino’s mind. I am reminded of Josh Kern, JH Engström, and Nan Goldin, among other artists who work in a diaristic form, incorporating their personal lives into their work for others to view. It is passionate, but at its root is hopefully a healing process. Please Tune In
