Eoin Moylan is a Irish artist working in Berlin
Episode 495: Eoin Moylan is a colleague, friend, and somebody whose work I think super highly of.

His recent book Deutsches in Deutschland, published by Art Paper Editions, is a phenomenal look at family through the lens of a European transplant who is singularly combining the aesthetics of German photography, a la Michael Schmidt, with tropes of Irish social documentary photography. The book is a complex study of how we are affected by culture, images, and influence when we make work. Eoin’s work exemplifies this trend, and he speaks eloquently about it.

I find his insight, background, and dedication to analogue photography compelling. Please check into this and pick up the book. I think it is one of the freshest things we have at present.
