Episode 527: Jörg Brüggemann joins me for round two to speak about his recent book Tres Viajes, published by Hartmann Books.
The book explores several trips that the German artist made in the wake of his mother’s death. Though the book is based on the feeling of loss and abandonment, there is a side to the work that talks about the contemporary moment and what it means to be truly alive through global disorder, anxiety, and constant upheaval.
Our conversation wandered through many aspects of the work, and at its core, it felt incredibly personal and elegiac. The book is a beautiful meditation on our times and what it is to be truly human in such a fraught landscape of events. Please Listen!
