Daniele Queiroz is a Brazilian curator

Episode 468: Daniele Queiroz is a Brazilian curator at Instituto Moreira Salles (IMS Paulista), São Paulo.

Zanele Muholi

During our conversation, we discussed Daniele’s background growing up in São Paulo and her studies in architecture, as well as the numerous roles and projects she has undertaken at IMS. This inimitable institution offers photography exhibitions, a renowned library, and an active community-driven series of events that promote inclusivity and diversity.

While I was there, Daniele was kind enough to give me a tour of the then-current exhibition of Zanele Muholi’s work, an elaborate and baroque exhibition of the gender-fluid South African artist known for her self-portraits and activism. It was a fantastic show and one that Daniele herself curated. I felt privileged to speak with her and very much enjoyed our conversation. Please listen to this episode to hear about Daniele and her active role at IMS Paulista.
