Whitney Hubbs is an American artist

Episode 269: Whitney Hubbs is an American artist whose new book Say So has recently been published by Self Publish Be Happy.

This was an exceptionally fun episode to record with Whitney. I had a sense of her humor from seeing the images in her new book ahead of receiving it and looked forward to this episode for weeks ahead of our scheduled session. The book, when it came in the post, had an immediate presence. It arrived with several other books, but due to the sensation of the latex on the cover, I immediately knew it was a profane object. It felt naughty, and yet, I could not help by finding it humorous and the closest photobook to a dildo I had ever consulted.

During the episode, we spoke about Whitney’s background. We spent some deep time speaking about our combined interest in disturbing material and Whitney’s upbringing on the West Coast. We went through the process of her book and how her interest in turning the camera on herself became a liberating moment that resulted in the production of this stellar title. It was an amusing and at times endearing episode. Please tune into the episode! Whitney is worth every moment and more.
