Alexander Rosenkranz is a German artist

Episode 339: Alexander Rosenkranz is a German artist working between photography, architecture, and collage. His new book was self-published with Image Vevey, as the artist was the recipient of the 2022 Grand Prix Images Vevey publishing prize in conjunction (now defunct) with Gibellina Photo Road.

Our conversation included an extensive discussion about Alexander’s process, a mix of architectural interest and collage-making through Xerox application. The artist essentially makes his books with the aid of a specific xerox machine and has in-built all capabilities necessary to produce beautiful art books limited to 100 copies. I am lucky to own this book and a copy of his earlier book, City Cut Off, from 2021. I firmly believe in his work and feel lucky to have both copies.

Throughout the conversation, we spoke about Alexander’s process and his background studying under Joachim Brohm in Leipzig. Please tune into this episode.
