Jack Whitefield is a British artist based in Cornwall

Episode 388: I have been waiting to record this podcast for some time. Jack Whitefield, or Jackson as he sometimes goes by, is one of the leading lights of young British art.

His practice includes photography but is not limited by it. He is a prolific photobook maker and collagist; his concerns shape his material interests. His work is oddly visceral and ephemeral simultaneously, and his observations of place, particularly St. Ives, where he is based, give his work a thoughtful, prepossessed edge.

I first came across his photobooks a few years ago and was blown-away by his clarity of vision and the rudimentary nature of the book’s production. They are simple, elegant and transmit his interests brilliantly. Please tune into this episode!
