Episode 452: Lisa Kereszi returns with Benjamin Donaldson to speak about their collaborative photobook with their daughter Ottilie Leete IN, recently published by Roman Nvmerals.
Another fantastic conversation with Lisa and Benjamin. We explored several topics at the beginning of the podcast before Benjamin joined us about halfway through. The first part of the conversation dealt with vexing questions about artistic integrity, ageing, understanding the pace of working, where to place new work over older significant bodies of work, and how to keep the fire burning to create more. We also spoke about screens, technology, and the difficulties they pose as parents raising young children.
Benjamin then joined us to speak about the collaborative photobook IN, a book they also share with their daughter Ottillie. We discussed collaboration and how one can parse out who took which photograph in the book exactly, or whether it mattered. We also discussed Halloween and Benjamin’s background growing up, and touched on his painting background. I had a blast, and it’s a very singular conversation. Please Tune In
