Jack Davison is a British artist

Episode 510: Jack Davison returns to the podcast for the second time to discuss his exceptional recent books, A is for Ant and Portraits, both published through Helions, the artist’s new publishing enterprise, which comes from a less-than-perfect series of experiences publishing with others.

It was a great catch-up with the eminent young artist to discuss his new work and his process. I have come to think of Jack’s work as having a very high standard while also remaining playful, fun, and enigmatic. It’s a fairly curious and hard-to-place mix, but despite the many imitators, it remains exclusively Jack’s work.

Throughout the conversation, we spoke about his books, his exhibitions, how the work for Portraits was shot, and how they might continue in future volumes. It was a pleasure, and I am confident listeners will find plenty to chew on. Please tune in!
